Daddy had passed and I know I was in shock. Haisten Funeral Home came by to get Daddy early in the morning and he extened his condolences. He said the funeral home was doing something for the Military Veterans that they have never done before. They ask if I would step out of the room for which I did. They were ready to take Daddy away. I wanted to take pictures so I stepped down the three steps and it took my breath away. The sight of Daddy being taken and the American Flag that he fought for in World War II was too much for me to bear. I said to Loretta "I can't do this" and went back into the Dining Room and ask Loretta to please take pictures.
